To improve the system of care, build community support and involvement, develop tools and materials needed in the field and promote effective approaches, and build the capacity of organizations to achieve mission-driven results.
In the short run,
- PDC establishes mechanisms to bring people together and build consensus,
- forges stronger partnerships that allow for strategic selectivity,
- reduces wasteful competition, and
- emphasizes the achievement of concrete results.
In the long run,
- the PDC enhances development effectiveness and
- contributes toward the central goal of school readiness and reaching agreed targets such as the Performance Based Incentive System (PBIS).
