The Partnership for Children utilizes a search engine, Foundation Search (www.foundationsearch.com- subscription required), to seek funding opportunities for a variety of programs and needs. This capability allows PFC to drill down information and tailor searchs to our specific needs.
By using Foundation Search, we have compiled the history of both Cumberland County and North Carolina with regards to grant funding. This program allows us to analyze grants and foundations through a variety of lenses: grant category, funding size, grant year, keywords, giving interests, and location (regional, state, county and city).
While the history focuses on Cumberland County, we have paired it with the history of North Carolina to put into context the strengths and weaknesses Cumberland County has in the grant writing area.
