Ready Children

  • Number of children under five
  • Percent of third graders not performing at grade level on End of Grade math tests
  • Percent of third graders not performing at grade level on End of Grade reading tests
  • Percent of children enrolled in Free and Reduced Lunch

 

Ready Families

  • Percent of births to mothers with at least a High School education.
  • Child abuse and neglect
  • Percent of children under the age of six has both parents in family working
  • Percent of children living in single-parent households.
  • Rate of teen pregnancy (age 10-19).
  • Percent of children under age 6 living in families with income at or below the federal poverty threshold .

 

Ready Services - Health

  • Percent of children under age 6 with acceptable blood lead levels.
  • Percent of Kindergarten children with untreated tooth decay
  • Infant mortality rate
  • Percent of linfants born weighing less than 2,500 grams or 5 lbs, 8 oz.
  • Percent of children ages 2 to 4 above the 95th percentile of BMI for age
  • Percent of children with health insurance.
  • Percent of eligible children who are enrolled in Medicaid and Health Choice.

 

Ready Services - Early Care and Education

  • Of the regulated early care and education programs, percent at 3, 4 and 5 star levels.
  • Of the children enrolled in regulated early care and education programs, the percentage in 3, 4 and 5 star programs.
  • Of the children receiving child care subsidy, percent in 3, 4 and 5 star early care and education programs.
  • Percent of children with special needs served in 3, 4 and 5 star early care and education programs.
  • Percent of at-risk children enrolled in high quality pre-kindergarten programs the year before they are eligible for kindergarten, including Head Start, More at Four, Public School programs, and 4 and 5 star programs that meet state pre-kindergarten standards.
  • Of children under age six who are eligible to receive subsidy, percent requesting subsidy services but still waiting.
  • Percent of families with children under the age of 6 paying no more than 10% of their income for childcare.
