Parent education - a series of parenting classes/activities using a defined program of instruction or curriculum through a variety of service-delivery mechanisms (Ex: Parents as Teachers, The Nurturing Program) or workshops and seminars for parents to increase their knowledge of child development and specific parenting strategies

(3) Number of families to be served (4) Number of military families served PFC 4:2 - Service System Integration- Family Friendly: 85% of the families receiving services from Partnership funded programs will view them as family friendly.
(SS.2.) Number of parents/guardians who participate in an ongoing parent education-focused group as part of a Smart Start funded activity FS10:   90% of families reported they “agree” or “strongly agree” that they feel competent and confident to apply the parenting information presented in a Smart Start funded activity    
(SS.3.) Number of parents/guardians who participate in an ongoing parent support group as part of a Smart Start funded activity.
(SS.5.) Number of parents/guardians who participate in a one-time parent education class, workshop or seminar funded as part of a Smart Start activity.
