What if I can't log on?

Retry your password. Make sure that CAPS LOCK has not been turned on and that PDC is your domain. If you still cannot logon, call the Help Desk.

What if I can't get into the e-mail system?

You must be logged onto the machine that you were assigned to receive e-mail. Reboot your system and try again. If you are still having problems with e-mail, call the Help Desk..

What if I forget my new password and get locked out of the system?

Call the Help Desk. You will be given a new password. Upon logon you will be prompted to create a new one.

Should I turn off my computer before I leave work?

Monday through Thursday please logoff of your computer and turn off your monitor. On Fridays, shutdown the system and turn the power off.

Should I ever lock my workstation?

Yes. You should lock your workstation any time you leave your desk for a short period of time. Remember to follow the instructions above when leaving for the day.

What if I can't print?

Make sure that there is paper in the machine and no paper jam error has occurred.

What if I need access to a color printer?

E-mail the Help Desk to find out the location of a color printer in your department. The IT Help Desk Specialist will assist you in using that printer.

What if I need additional software installed on my computer?

Your supervisor will need to approve your request and forward it to the IT Director for disposition.

What if I need to move my computer to another location?

Please call the Help Desk. Do not attempt to move any equipment by yourself.
