Quality Improvement Grants
The Partnership for Children of Cumberland County Inc. provides Quality Improvement Grants to enable licensed facilities in Cumberland County to achieve a 3 stars or higher license and/or national accreditation. Through the assistance of Early Childhood Consultants, the Grant enables participants to maintain or upgrade the quality of the care environment through the purchase of classroom and learning materials and/or furnishings and by providing mentoring, technical assistance and training to licensed child care facilities/providers.
Early Childhood Consultalts strive to provide Cumberland County child care programs with assistance in the following areas:
Star Rated License
Outreach Services
- Recruit child care facilities through mailings and onsite visits to encourage participation in Smart Start services
- Conduct presentations and workshops
- Serve as members of local, state and national organizations
Training
- Provide one-on-one, group and/or onsite training to improve the quality of care given to children in Cumberland County
- Provide hands-on training in the areas of, but not limited to:
- Environmental Rating Scales
- Child Growth and Development
- Activity Centers (Art, Dramatic Play, Math, Music, Sand and Water, Science, etc)
- Diversity Training
