Parents and other caregivers interested in receiving child care referrals for quality child care may call (910) 860-2277. Referral lines and walk-in services are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
All child care referrals provided by the Partnership for Children are free of charge.
Family Support Database Includes:
- Star-rated license information for each facility
- Contact information for obtaining background reports on child care facilities
- Teacher/child ratio
- Cost and hours of operation
- Name and location of child care centers and family child care homes
- Care for children ages birth to 12 years
Any personal information shared with us in search for child care is kept confidential. We do not share personal information with others without your permission.
Considerations in Choosing Quality Child Care
- Do you hear and see happy children?
- Is the atmosphere bright and pleasant?
- Is the environment safe and clean, both indoors and outdoors?
- Is the child care center or family child care home licensed by the state?
- Are you encouraged to make unscheduled visits?
- Do the providers have their NC Child Care Credentials?
- Do the providers seek additional training or education?
