The Partnership for Children of Cumberland County (PFC) is a non-profit organization formed in 1993 in response to North Carolina’s Smart Start initiative, a public-private, community-based strategy to help all NC children enter school healthy and ready to succeed. PFC is responsible for developing a collaborative strategy to meet the needs of the more than 29,000 Cumberland County children birth through 5 years of age and their families, in an effort to provide access to high quality and affordable early childhood services, education, health and family support
