Provides developmental assessments to determine eligibility for the ITP and Early Intervention Service Coordination to children birth to age 3 and their families who qualify for the program. Cumberland County Dispute Resolution Center (910) 486-9465 Tina Estle Our center offers mediation services to individuals with disputes. Both parties meet with a mediator to discuss the issues and reach a mutually satisfactory agreement. Mediators are trained volunteers who can assist you in determining what steps to take to settle the dispute. The mediator does not determine right or wrong or impose sanctions of the law. Find A Friend (910) 483-4661 Johnny Wilson Find-A-Friend has four components to the program: 1)Governor's One on One component allows youth ages 6-18 that are at-risk and law enforcement involved to get an adult mentor. 2)Mentoring Children of Incarcerated Parents(MCIP)component allows youth ages 4-18 that have a parent/guardian or a significant family member incarcerated to get an adult mentor. 3)Interpersonal Skills/Guided Growth component works with youth 3rd-12th grades in weekly group settings to discuss social growth issues such as peer pressure, anger management, self-esteem, personal enrichment, and many other issues within the community, school, or family. 4)Support Our Students(SOS)component allows youth 3rd-6th grade that are at-risk academically to get assisted with studying skills, tutoring, and reading skills while preparing them for end of grade testing(EOG).

Parks Chapel (910) 488-9456 Elder Gopaul-Robinson We have a Youth Ministry that can help high risk youth. We have mentoring, counseling as needed, educational enhancement as needed. Year round activities for youth that are announced. Bible Study on Wednesday night and Sunday service just for ages 13-17 yrs old and children church for youth that are younger. They can discussed various issues and get answers. At Parks Chapel we have various ministries that can help our youth depending on the need and the time. We can be contacted Mon-Fri at Parks Chapel. We also provided various other ministries to assist our community like Military For Christ ministry which stays in touch with our miltary personnel through email, letters and care packages. Grief support groups
Project Virtue Program & Journey Program for at risk girls (910) 797-5172 Helen Watson, Executive Director Crisis center designed exclusively for young ladies 9yrs-18yrs and their families who are experienceing crisis in the homes, schools, and communities. Project Virtue Program is a leadership and mentoring program that host motivational and educational speakers, educational outings,college tours, bonding activities, and an annual summer camp. The Journey Program for at risk girls: A six-week leadership development program for ladies from the ages of 14yrs-18yrs who are in the juvenile justice system and need to develop life and social skills.

Public Housing (910) 483-6980 Darcel Burns The Fayetteville Metropolitan Housing Authority provides 1045 units of income based public housing in Fayetteville/Cumberland County. Applications are received for Public Housing on Mondays 9-11am and 2-4pm, except holidays. All applicants must be 18 years of age or older and bring a valid picture ID for all adult members of the applicant's household, and a social security card and birth certificate for each member of the household. All applications must be completed in person at the Housing Management Office located at 88 Grove View Terrace.

Monthly Story Times
Rodriguez School Age Center (910) 396-1546 Angela Richey Offers care for before and after school with options for before school only or after school only. Each of these options entitles program participants to full day care services during out of school periods, excluding Federal holidays, during the school year. Separate SAS camps are operated during winter and spring breaks for those who normally do not require daily before and after school care. During the summer, SAS operates a full day camp option in ten one-week sessions and eight one-week half day sessions.

Unified Child Care Subsidy (910) 867-9700 Pamela Howser Facilitates the dual child care subsidy system via a virtual case management and referral system (CMRS) to accurately and regularly calculate size, characteristics, and needs of a specific population. Information about children served and the expenditures of Smart Start funds are reported in the CMRS by Child Care Solutions, Fayetteville Technical Community College, and Fayetteville State University each month. The R&D Director and Data Management Technician, in partnership with a technology consultant, work diligently with Division of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to maintain a Cold-Fusion based solution to provide data dumps, connection, and transfer to the North Carolina Division of Child Development (NCDCD) Voucher System to synchronize the CMRS with the NCDCD system. The "Career Club" for high school blind and visually impaired kids is free and meets monthly at the Center. The "Kid's Camp" day camp program each summer is also free.
Wonderful World for Kids School Age Services (910) 396-2011 George Hughes Offers care for before and after school with options for before school only or after school only. Each of these options entitles program participants to full day care services during out of school periods, excluding Federal holidays, during the school year. Separate SAS camps are operated during winter and spring breaks for those who normally do not require daily before and after school care. During the summer, SAS operates a full day camp option in ten one-week sessions and eight one-week half day sessions.

Workforce Development (910) 323-3421 Linda Morrison Assists youth, unskilled adults, dislocated workers, and welfare-to-work recipients develop skills and abilities necessary for employment. Offers limited paid work experience and on-the-job training with various employers. Provides financial support including tuition, books, uniforms, and fees. Administers the Summer Youth Employment and Training Program for youth ages 14 to 21 years old.
